The origins of the TF Bell Group date from the 1960’s when Terry Bell established the company in Hinckley, Leicestershire. Initially specialising in Commercial Insurance Broking, the company quickly established a reputation for its ability to combine competitiveness and personal service.

With the developments in the financial services industry during the 1980’s, a new company was formed in 1985 to transact Life and Pensions related business and in 1993, the company moved to its own purpose built offices to support this expansion. The 1990’s also saw the Group begin to specialise in the private healthcare market. Initial success saw the Bell Healthcare brand develop.

Now employing more than 50 staff and with two offices in Hinckley and a city centre office in Leicester, the TF Bell Group name remains synonymous with sourcing competitive premiums without compromising on the personal service benefits that being a family-based business offers.

In an environment where national players are swallowing many regional brokerages to create larger, less personal businesses, the TF Bell Group is proud to remain an independent company with an ability to compete successfully with the national intermediaries.

The Group specialises in the small to medium sized company marketplace and has more than 1000 company clients throughout the U.K. We are proud that so many of our clients that have been with us from our early days remain happy with our abilities to demonstrate added value to them year on year. We are also pleased by our success in welcoming a record number of new clients to the Group over the past two years.

A successful management buy-out was completed in 2004 to provide a platform from which the Group can continue its growth into the next decade and beyond.

This market advantage has led to Bell Healthcare being recognised as one of the main players in the U.K. for company group private healthcare advice.
